We’re really proud to have been working with Swarovski Kristallwelten on many of their branding projects, starting with the rebrand of the iconic Daniels Restaurant at Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) in Wattens, Austria.

While the new restaurant interiors were designed by Austrian firm, MARCTHOMAS, Mystery was tasked with providing the creative design strategy that would tie the interior and exterior design of the building to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds through all other visual and experiential elements.

Working closely with Swarovski’s in-house production department, we ensured that the newly refurbished Daniels Kristallwelten would provide an immersive dining experience that encapsulates the unmistakable magic of Swarovski Crystal Worlds.

The project encompassed the design of all graphic elements, including brand identity, menus, visitor panels, eat-in and takeaway restaurant materials, signage, uniforms and all marketing collateral and POS material.

It was very important that the staff, the frontline and ambassadors of Daniels, understood the new branding and concept of Daniels. Mystery created staff guidelines in line with the new branding to help train and educate them on the background behind Daniels, so they were able to communicate the story to customers.

With separate smaller lounge zones to give the area more structure yet keeping to the original concept of a single space – the principle behind the flowing forms of Snøhetta’s original architectural design – the unique views of the alpine landscape and the garden are still the main attraction.

“I am particularly pleased that we were able to get Mystery as a creative agency for Daniels Kristallwelten. Mystery as our partner is renowned for high quality standards and extraordinary ideas. ”

Carla Rumler, Cultural Director Swarovski

Daniel Swarovski was a very keen musician and every Thursday night, a section of Daniels becomes a unique and very popular music club.

As part of the ongoing brand strategy for Daniels, Mystery designed visuals for the club, advertising, POS collateral, including menus and coasters, consolidating and crystalising (pun intended) all the POS elements.

Inspired by photos of Daniel Swarovski and his musician friends, we kept in line with the Daniels Restaurant identity and branding, but gave the Music Club menus and additional collateral a more evening and soulful feel in both colour and design. The graphics reflect the existing Daniels industrial factory appearance, combined with additional musical references and motifs such as headphones.
