We’re really excited to have been part of the creation of a great new Taiwanese fried chicken concept, Mr Ji, launched just before Christmas in Old Compton Street, London.

Mr Ji Night Market Chicken Branding Interior Design

Mystery first started working with the Mr Ji team back in 2017 when they were looking to test out their idea in a pop-up Taiwanese fried chicken shop in Camden.

The founders had been inspired to open a night market style Taiwanese Chicken QSR thanks to a chance meeting half way up a mountain with a mysterious old man, whom they called “Mr Ji”, meaning Mr Chicken in Taiwanese!

Mr Ji Night Market Chicken Branding Interior Design

While the ‘taste testing’ of their recipes was underway and Mr Ji’s team were hunting for a suitable permanent site, Mystery was tasked with creating the full concept for the restaurant offer; from the brand positioning and identity; graphics and product packaging to the interior and exterior scheme for Mr Ji’s first site.

Happily the Mr Ji team found its perfect Ji Spot and Mr Ji’s Night Market Chicken has now launched at 72 Old Compton Street in London’s famous Chinatown.
