This summer is Mystery’s 18th Birthday and what do you do when you are legally old enough to drink? You build your own bar! Not satisfied with merely going out to the local boozer, we decided to celebrate this Mystery milestone in style, by launching The Mystery Speakeasy at our London HQ in Kentish Town.
We had to rise to the usual challenges that all hospitality operators face - spatial, budgetary and operational, but we proudly launched the Mystery Speakeasy, a mixology of ideas, opinions and cocktails with a brilliant party for clients, associates, suppliers, media, friends and family – in short, everyone who has contributed to the success of our amazing business over the last 18 years.
Aside from being a great hangout for Mystery employees, the Speakeasy is designed to be an event space to launch or preview new products and concepts; a place for clients and associates to exchange ideas and inspiration; and an in-situ showroom to view furniture concepts and suggestions for new hospitality projects.
Our specially conceived Mystery Cocktails and Aperitifs were formed by the meeting of several fantastically cool drinks: Regal Rogue’s Australian Vermouths, Thor Drinks Apple Spritzes and a selection of Jascot's Wine Merchants’ finest wines.
Sweet and savoury treats were supplied by our incredibly generous friends, Joe’s Southern Kitchen and Bar, SugarSin and Livia’s Kitchen, with Mystery’s own culinarily-talented staff baking up a storm to create the most amazing spread.
Mystery alumni, friend and DJ, Mr Leroy Schneider provided the tunes which pumped out well in to the night.
Thanks to the hundred or so people who came to support us, congratulate us, catch up with old friends and generally have a great time. You made our night. After all, as with any business, it’s the people that really make it special.
Fittingly, Dan Einzig was the last to leave the building and will shortly be on a plane heading back to Mystery’s LA office, with a big smile on his face and a little bit of a hangover…SHARE THIS STORY
